ASTN (advanced super twisted nematic) uses a special liquid crystal polymer film to provide a good display at a wide temperature range. ASTN modules require less power and and can be manufactured at a lower cost than a TFT LCD. This can make ASTN an excellent choice for applications that require a good display while keeping the costs to a minimum.
